Establishment Year: 1950 AD

This institution was founded in 1950 AD and was operated for a long time as a Furqania Madrasa. Later, the founder of this madrasa, the late Md. Sakoatuzzaman Pradhan, took the initiative to run it as a Hafezia Madrasa, and it continued in that form. Subsequently, through the sincere efforts of the founder Md. Sakoatuzzaman Pradhan and the founding superintendent, the late Mawlana Md. Azizur Rahman, it was upgraded to a Women’s Dakhil Madrasa on 01/01/1984 and received recognition from the Madrasa Board.

Palashbari A.A.S.B.P. Women’s Fazil (Degree) Madrasa is a prestigious religious and general educational institution located at the heart of Palashbari Upazila, Gaibandha District. This esteemed madrasa was established on January 1, 1950, through the collaborative efforts of local scholars, education enthusiasts, and social reformers who deeply understood the need for female education in a conservative society.

At a time when girls’ education was largely neglected, especially in rural areas, the establishment of this madrasa marked a groundbreaking step. From a modest beginning with limited infrastructure and resources, it has now evolved into a full-fledged Fazil-level (Degree) institution offering Islamic and general education.

Over the years, this institution has produced hundreds of accomplished female graduates who have gone on to serve as teachers, religious scholars, community leaders, development workers, and educators across the nation. The madrasa is widely recognized for promoting Islamic values, discipline, and women’s empowerment through education.

The institution boasts a library, science lab, ICT lab, dedicated prayer space, and a safe and peaceful learning environment. Our qualified faculty members are committed to providing quality education and regular guidance to students.
